USAFL International Program Appoints Stefan Barr as Head Coach of the USA Revolution

The USAFL International Program is excited to announce the appointment of Stefan Barr as the new Head Coach of the USA Revolution, the United States Australian Rules Football Men’s National Team.

Barr’s football experience includes serving as Head Coach of the Austin Crows, overseeing men’s and women’s players and managing both reserves and women’s coaches. A long‑time board member of the club, he guided the Crows to four Division 1 National Championships as head coach. As a player, Barr is a ten‑time USAFL D1 national champion.

“Stef brings deep USAFL knowledge and a clear understanding of what it takes to prepare and perform at a national‑team level. His ability to connect with players and elevate standards will serve the program well and have an immediate competitive impact,” said Jason Becker, Head of Football for the USA International Program. “He offers strong direction. I look forward to working with him to shape the future of the program and raise our ceiling on the international stage.”

Barr expressed gratitude for the opportunity and commitment to the international program. “US footy has given me so much, and it’s my time to give back,” Barr said. He also outlined his expectations for the upcoming cycle. “I’m calling on the best players in the country to raise their hand and help us showcase the very best of what our game in the USA has to offer.”

Dan Sarbacker, International Program Lead added, “I’m thrilled to see Stef step into this role. His track record of success is impressive, and he’s earned genuine respect across the league. He is recognized for building a culture where players thrive and I’m confident he’ll help the Revolution take the next step under our new structure.”
