Meet Scott Roth

Scott Roth’s coaching career spans more than three decades as a player and prominent coach across the NBA, international basketball and professional leagues in Europe, Asia and Australia. His experience includes the Toronto Raptors, Detroit Pistons, Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves, plus national teams in several countries.

Since 2021, Scott has led the Tasmania JackJumpers, building the culture and foundation of a new organization. He was named NBL Coach of the Year in 2021/22 and led the JackJumpers to the 2024 NBL Championship.

Over the course of his career, Scott has established himself as a respected coach and leader across multiple levels of the sporting industry. His progression from NBA player to NBA and international coach, national-team leader and inaugural head coach of a new NBL franchise reflects a breadth of experience across high-performance environments. His work with the JackJumpers has further demonstrated his ability to build culture, develop people and create a sustainable winning organization from the ground up.

Scott’s coaching highlights

NBA coaching experience with the Raptors, Pistons and Warriors, plus scouting and leadership roles with multiple NBA organizations.
Head Coach experience in the NBA G League, Spain and with the Dominican Republic National Team.
International experience with national teams in China, Turkey and Canada, including World Championship and European Championship competition.
Led the Perth Wildcats to the 2019–20 NBL Championship before taking on the JackJumpers expansion challenge.
Built a new organization around culture, shared values, accountability and sustainable winning.
