The Oklahoma (Tulsa) Buffaloes were founded in 2017 by Dustin Brasel. The name was chosen because they wanted to honor something indigenous from the region; The beautiful and majestic Buffalo was the obvious choice. This was also a nod to the prestigious Darwin Buffaloes of the NTFL.
