Tampa Bay Tiger Sharks are the 3rd iteration of AFL in the Tampa bay area. The previous teams were called the Florida Redbacks and the St Petersburg Swans. Since 2019, Tampa Bay has partnered with Jacksonville and Fort Lauderdale to strengthen the presence and development of Aussie Rules in Florida.
