July 19, 1998 marked the birthday of the Orange County Bombers. Born out of a need by the Southern Californian teams to form a competition, the “Bombers” became the fourth of the foundation member teams in the USA’s first league competition – the CAFL. The selection of the team icon was a difficult choice. The Bombers was selected because the now decommissioned El Toro Air Force Base was a prominent Orange County landmark at the time. 2019 brought an opportunity for enhanced growth, and an official partnership with the GWS Giants AFL meant the rebranding as the Orange County Giants. We joined a network of Giants clubs around the world, now running out to play in the orange, charcoal and white.
