The first incarnation of the Lonestars began on April 8, 2006 by Mark ‘Marko’ McPartland. Although the small group of 6-8 players only played a few games with and against Baton Rouge, Houston became dormant in mid-2008 when Marko left. The Lonestars were reincarnated in 2009 by Dan Holwerda, and have been contenders in the league since.
